Enrollment Please meet with the coaches
at the club. Prior to membership a Physician's note attesting to
physical suitability of this type of sport and training is
required.
Program description Boxing is a sport
that demands superb conditioning. Members may choose contact or non
contact skills development. Training goals are the development of
cardio-vascular fitness, strength and stamina. Males and females are
encouraged to participate in competitions and develop the physical
and mental skills that continues the tradition of the national and
international recognition of the Cabbagetown Boxing Club.
Unsupervised training and workouts are not permitted in the Club.
The Weight Room is a specialized physical conditioning discipline
and is open to any on over 16 years of age.
Special Features Competitions on a local,
provincial and national level are held which may lead to Olympic and
International competitions.
Special Equipment Persons interested in
competition will require head gear, shoes, competition robes and
hand wraps. It is recommended that these purchases are made through
the club as they are usually better priced.
